Nopharia slowly lumbered along toward the coast. Her large belly swayed as she slowly lowered herself down the sloping land.
She sighed in discomfort as she approached the sand. Her belly had swelled quickly after her meeting with Jeet. At first she had been grateful to the stag for agreeing to sire her fawn, but now weeks later, she kind of regretted it.
Immediately Nopharia flushed and shook the thought of regretting her baby. She knew she was certain about having this child, no matter what. She was certain she would protect her child with all her might, like her father Finnegan had done for her.
Pharia huffed as she lifted her legs higher to move through the sand easier, straining her thin legs to carry herself. She paused to pant for a few seconds, wondering how her mother had handled her pregnancy at such an old age, Nopharia was about to turn nine and already she found the pregnancy taxing. Not that her mother mattered any longer.
After Nopharia had announced her pregnancy her mother had all but disowned her. Going behind her dear mother's back was apparently a big no, no, and was resulting in utter embarrassment for her mother, who had been attempting to mate her to a prominent Windborne Soldier.
She looked back to her large belly and nibbled it a bit, imagining herself tickling her baby, quickly growing excited for the little ones arrival.
"Don't worry darling, mummy will take care of you. You're all mummy has left..."
